Your way of interactive teaching helped me learn a lot more than a book ever would. Thank you for helping us grow and become better students that are ready to become professionals. Kaylie M. I have learned so much as a writer. I enjoyed learning how to become a better writer. I personally look to writing when going through difficult times, therefore becoming more knowledgeable in the subject distracts me even more from reality. This class was one of the best when it come to interacting with one another. Erica A. Learning that writing is much more than words on paper is amazing. The audience, tone, presentation , and organization has so much influence on writing that I never even knew about. Understanding these things really helps me think and brainstorm more before writing. The material was wonderful and some of the exercises were at first difficult to understand, but you were so helpful and patient with our class. Kathy R. This quote by Natalie Goldberg, one of my new favorite quotes, has taught me that writing does not have to be a structural thing, but something that should be enjoyable and vulnerable. throughout the semester I have not only leaned this, but how to read and analyze others' work, and grow in my essay writing capabilities. Caroline S. "Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go." This quote by Doctorow is the best way that I can explain my experience in English with you, Mrs. Warren. I have grown by learning useful techniques for writing a variety of essays, as well as how to analyze and critique readings and other's writings. Madison D. I have grown in many ways as a writer. I feel like the assigned readings have really shown me that there is much more to being a good writer than what my previous teachers have trained me to believe. I have appreciated that you have pushed us to become diverse writers by making us do a variety of essays. During the course of this semester I have learned how to study articles and derive deeper meanings from them as a writer. When I was reading through the Goldberg writings I felt that even though the writings were about not allowing grammatical mistakes to ruin the true meaning of your paper, I was constantly thinking how I was going to use that information to improve my writing skill.
