Diversity: I have had the opportunity to teach students from fourth grade – college. Along with teaching English, I have taught Art, Speech, Journalism, Life Science, Texas History, Bible, and Math. My teaching assignments have been in both Private and Public Schools in Texas. I am certified in English, Speech, Journalism, and Gifted and Talented. Currently, I stay busy by being the lead 12th graded English teacher, GT Independent Study Teacher, Student Council Advisor, Graduation Coordinator, and Senior Sponsor. I have trained with The National Writing Project and have recently become a certified trainer for "Framework to Understanding Poverty" for educators. “Art Journaling” has been a passion of mine in class to inspire my students to write, but my new favorite love is hacking my notebook using circuitry (teaching students to illuminate) while teaching writing in English class!
